Keri Lake

At a distance of approximately twenty kilometers from the town of Zakynthos, the small village of Limni Keri is located on the slope of Cape Marathia, directly opposite the islet of Marathonisi.
It is characterized by a beautiful small pebble beach shaded by a few pine trees and surrounded by many local taverns which, especially at night, give the cove a very special atmosphere.

The beach

It is a small but cute beach that stretches along the entire length of the coast and is surrounded by a few restaurants and tourist shops.
Behind the shore there is a row of trees which creates natural shade on a part of the beach.
The beach is pebbled, but as soon as you enter the water you will realize that beneath your feet there is a vast expanse of sand.

Marathonisi

Marathonisi is a small private island located in the turtle bay, very close to Limni Keri beach.
Today it is one of the breeding grounds of the Caretta-Caretta turtle.

Marathonisi can be visited by private boat or by taking part in organized boat excursions, and for the more adventurous there is the opportunity to try canoeing, thus having a good chance of encountering a turtle.

We remind you that the island is included in the marine park and therefore anchoring is prohibited.
The island offers the choice between two wonderful beaches: one with pebbles, from which you can swim to a huge cave, or the other is a long strip of sand that slopes gently towards the sea.

Blue caves

The Keri Caves, which you can reach by private boat or by participating in an organized excursion, spread out near Cape Marathias, on the southwestern side of the island.

This stretch of coast features myriad caves, many with an entrance that barely allows one to swim through, others with an entrance large enough to allow one to enter directly by boat.

It is very easy to approach the caves because the ground above them ends perpendicular to the sea and therefore the deep waters do not present any particular difficulties in approaching.

Myzithres

They are two rocky hills very close to the steep coast that descends vertically into the sea and together forms a small beach of fine sand that you can only reach by boat.

As you admire them, you will notice that one of these two rocky outcrops has an opening that you can swim through and is inhabited by numerous starfish.

In addition, along the coast there are two rock arches, where you can pass under the large arch by boat.

Shipwreck

Navagio is one of the 30 most beautiful beaches in the world.
So, if you follow this road, you will be led to a large area where there is a metal platform from which you can take photos and admire the beach and the wonderful Mediterranean nature.

In fact, if you manage to arrive here at sunset, you will enjoy a sight you will not forget.

You can only reach Navagio Beach by sea from Porto Vromi and Agios Nikolaos, but very often due to the weather, the excursions do not take place.

You can get information from the port authority or go to Porto Vromi early in the morning.
There is also on this route what for us is the ideal alternative to Navagio for a magnificent sunset.
